So far so good

Mom has completed day one of her checkup. So far so good. The doctors were very happy with her liver functions and are not expecting to find anything wrong with her renal function test or full body CT tomorrow since her blood tests are in their words, "Wonderful." Let's pray that's the case.

It's been almost a full year since I've been in Rochester. There's only some slight changes in the Eisenburg (part of Rochester Methodist Hospital) building otherwise everything is the same. It only took me a couple minutes to get my bearings straight as to where we were and where we needed to be this morning. We were at the clinic before seven this morning and we got into her last appointment an hour early so we were done by three. We went to the movie "Leatherheads" this afternoon. It starred George Clooney and we both enjoyed it even though it has not done well at the box office. We had Mexican for supper tonight and we didn't get breakfast but we had an early lunch at the Pannekoeken-a Dutch restaurant. Barb made me promise we would go and eat an apple pannekoeken for her (it's like a apple filled pancake) and it was really awesome.

The day starts early tomorrow too. Mom has a couple of rough tests and then the worst of the checkup will be over. She should not have to have a liver biopsy this time since her liver functions are good. She is really happy about this!
