Luke's coming sooner than expected

Loren and Kelly found out today that Kelly has vasa previa-it's something where the umblilical cord isn't in the right place and can easily rupture and as the baby gets older in the womb won't get the nutrition it needs to grow. It is serious and sounds very scary but we are all thankful that the doctors know about it. The technology we have today is amazing. The ultrasounds they've been getting have doppler radar and that's is how it was discovered. This usually isn't diagnosed until it's too late.

Kelly is 22 weeks now. The doctors want to get her to at least 30-32 weeks which means Luke may arrive between May 15-May 29 even though his due date is early to mid-July. Kelly isn't suppose to do any kind of exercise except walking and may eventually have to go on bedrest. The doctors do not want her to go into labor and she has to have a C-section.

Please keep Kelly, Loren, and Luke in your prayers. There is a very small chance that the condition could improve but not likely so they will be welcoming a preemie. Again we are so thankful that we live in a time where this was diagnosed early and can be treated.
