We are big fans of American Idol here at The Dutch Scandies. If you don't know, Season 8 is just hitting stride with the main competition. A couple of weeks ago they got down to a Top 36 and for several weeks will be working to get to a Top 12. Last week 12 of the 36 contestants competed with the viewers voting in the three top spots. It will be the same for this week and next week to get 9 of the Top 12. It sounds like there will be 3 wild card spots to round out the Top 12. Tonight is the competition show and tomorrow night is the results show.This year there is North Dakota connection with one of the contestants. Jesse Langseth is the little sister of Jonny Lang. They lived in Fargo before moving to the Minneapolis area when Jonny was in his early teens. Jesse will be competing tonight.
