Samantha's Independence Day Photos

Once in a while Nancy turns the camera over to Samantha and she did so this past weekend during the two nights of fireworks festivities. She does pretty well for a three year old! It is interesting to see the photos taken from the perspective of a little girl.

The following set of pictures Samantha took on Friday evening, July 4. This is the night Barb & Jason and family came over for supper and fireworks.

Donovan poses for Sam while in the background Gerrit gets ready to light a smoke bomb.

Barb and her daughter, Sydney.

Jason directs his anger toward the bottle rockets. Just kidding. He is concentrating on wrapping several fuses together to light them all at once. On Saturday I learned a method from my nephew, Casey, to light almost a whole pack at once. It involves the use of a propane torch. Next year, my friends. Next year.

Here I am using my powers to direct the flame coming from the Magic Black Snakes.

Samantha loves Sydney.

These next group of photos Samantha took the following evening when we were down at Duane and Betty's house on the farm near Strasburg. Again, the evening involved supper and fireworks.

The kids all love their big Saint Bernard.

Samantha decided to take one of her feet. She also took one of her finger.

This is a strobe pot - a favorite piece of mine. Mostly I like the reaction from those exposed to the flashing brighter-than-sunlight light.

Of course, sometimes when Samantha has the camera we end up with photos such as these. This is the Spongebob Squarepants "Hooks" episode.
