Papa's Pumpkin Patch 2008

We made our annual excursion to Papa's Pumpkin Patch this afternoon. It was the busiest we've ever seen it. I suppose it helps the weather was so beautiful. The parking lot was almost full - if I had to guess I would say there were around 1,000 people there. A lot of little kids running around. There were constantly announcements over the intercom of lost kids looking for parents.

Almost everyone had a camera, too. At first you try to be courteous and stay out of the picture but it is almost impossible. Everywhere you walk someone is trying to set up a shot with their kids.

A lady there was dressed in a Dora the Explorer costume and Samantha was very scared. You can see the concerned look on her face. For some reason, she asked if Dora was sweating. We told her that, yes, the lady in the costume was probably a little bit hot. Later on she said she would not have been so scared if it had been the "real" Dora.

The children in birth order from L-R: Gerrit, Aleah, Donovan, and Samantha.

Goodbye, little bear. See you next year, God willing!

Papa has a blog here.
