Movie trailers and the world of voiceover in general will not be the same without the legendary voice actor, Don LaFontaine. He passed away in Los Angeles on Monday at the age of 68 -- following complications from pneumothorax (collapsed lung) after an earlier blood clot in the lung. He was born in Duluth, MN in 1940 and is survived by a wife and three daughters.
The following video I saw on Say Anything Blog and I think it tells his story pretty well.
Here is another one I found on YouTube. This one is from about three years ago.
And, of course, who can forget the voice over guys in a limo? The video is eleven years old. Don is the one in the limo at the start.
